Write for Us

Arctic Ledger is an independent journal, not a closed shop. We actively seek new contributors — graduate students, early-career researchers, and practitioners — working on critical minerals, Arctic and maritime governance, supply chain security, and great power competition. Our contributor base already spans researchers and students at UC San Diego, Arizona State University, American University, Quaid-i-Azam University, the University of Moratuwa, and the Australian National University, and we're looking to grow it further.

What we're looking for

• Original analysis, not news summary — pieces that make an argument and support it with sourced evidence.
• Regional or technical depth: fieldwork, language ability, or subject-matter grounding that goes beyond open-source aggregation.
• Willingness to go through substantive editorial review before publication — see our Editorial Standards.

How to pitch

Send a 150–250 word abstract and a short note on your background to editor@arcticledger.org. We respond to every serious pitch. Co-authorship with existing Arctic Ledger contributors can be arranged where a piece would benefit from a second perspective.
